    At Amerec, we understand the quality of your steam bath experience is directly related to the quality of the products we engineer. That’s why we comply with safety regulations and recommendations such as UL, ETL and CE—ensuring a high level of safety and years of trouble-free performance.


    Environment

    Steam bathing has been a natural way to cleanse and to commune for thousands of years. We respect its natural heritage by minimizing our environmental impact wherever we can throughout our production and operations. It is also worth noting that a steam bath generator uses very little water—less than 2 gallons per 30 minute session—and minimal amounts of electricity (about $.30 worth). A daily steam bath is an economical and environmentally-friendly way to relax, refresh and revitalize.

    Our vision is for steam baths to become as common in American homes as
    jetted bath tubs: every master bath should have one. The physical and mental
    benefits of steam bathing are proven and undeniable. With Amerec steam bath
    products backed by "bend over backwards” service and support, they’re also
    surprisingly easy and affordable to achieve. Every day and in every way, we are

  • History

    Amerec started manufacturing saunas in Bellevue, WA in 1963, adding steam
    bath generators to our product line in 1979. In 1998, Amerec was acquired by
    Saunatec Inc., the North American division of Helo Group Oy, a 90 year old
    manufacturer of sauna and steam equipment headquartered in Hanko, Finland.
    Helo Group Oy acquired Tylö Group, a Swedish manufacturer of sauna and steam
    products, in 2008 to form the world’s largest sauna and steam manufacturer.

    In the steam bath business, the Amerec name is synonymous with quality
    and innovation. Our ongoing aim is to continually develop ways to bring you
    the true experience of steam bathing as easily and affordably as possible. One
    example is our recent introduction of the convenient K200i Freedom Control, the
    only wireless RF steam bath control that eliminates all control cables. But there
    is more to come. And as the possibilities and technologies for steam bathing
    advance, you can be sure Amerec will be leading the way.
